Concerning losing the advanced setting to increase quality on the MAC, try deleting all printers in print utility and re-install printer software. Hope this helps.
Anyone printing and transferring with HP #63 ink?

Didn't lose them. They're just different. There are some advanced settings, but they're different than the PC version of the drivers.

I had a student/friend that works for HP check with the ink people and the #61 and #63 cartridge use the same ink so the newer models will give good results as well.
