Here is a recent SAA 3rd gen 45LC 4.75" I completed. No gold in this one, made it a fairly straight forward job. In addition to the C+ engraving I made the mother of pearl grips for it too.

Very nice! Did you buy mother of pearl blanks or cut them right out of the shell? I made the mistake of shaping some golden lip mother of pearl dry back in about 1982. Even though I was wearing a dust mask, I got enough of it in me that I turned red and ran a 103F temperature for a few days. So, I always kept it wet after that.

Doc... they were blanks i had to fully shape and fit... took quite a bit of time to get them right, but i found many of my "retired" jewelry grinding, sanding and polishing tools did a marvelous job instead of my belt sander
