Hello all. This job has just come to me to re-engrave what I think would have been a pheasant. I'm relatively competent with engraving, providing I have an example or drawing to guide me.
If anyone could offer me any clues as to what the rest of the engraving should look like I'd very much appreciate it.
See attached images.
Thanks very much
Phil

Ok, mystery solved, I've been told it's an eagle & I have an image to follow.
How do I delete this ?

your client should provide that info. unless they have given you total control of the design. if me, i'd totally eliminate what's already there, and start from scratch.

It appears to be a intaglio engraved portion of a heraldic coat of arms.

I'd suggest going to your library to see if they have this book or possibly your local used bookstore or Amazon. Both my grandfather and myself used to do quite a bit of this work. Definitely worth having if you plan on doing more heraldic jewelry.
