I got sick of practice plates after 15 months and decided to finally try it on my grandson's 22 Henry. (On the easily replaceable parts in case of failure). I give me a 2 out of 10. Learned that Aluminum Alloy cuts nothing like copper or steel practice plates, and 15 months of practice ain't enough.

if the kid doesn't love this right off, one day it will be a prized posession. i was gifted with a savage .22 rifle at age 6. then it was merely a fun thing. now i'd accept no sum for this beautiful memory. and it still works quite accurately. i'm sure the lad will have similar sentiment as he matures. a very nice thing you did !

I think you are being hard on your self. I hold the many things of my grandfather but his rifles are second to none. The old single shot Steven favorite. I don't know what I'd have done with a rifle like that Henry. Enjoy the kids they grow up just to fast.good job keep it up.
