Mac,
That's the only reason I bought it.
Plus, S&W's have great actions.
This commemorative 629 is "The Trail Boss" produced in roughly '02.
So naturally I'm thinking of a cattle drive with the "Boss" overlooking the drive.
DUHHH!
Should be a challenge !
Thanks Weldon for the cutability info and Fred for helping to make this an achievable goal.
I don't know about inlay, but this one engraved as well as any stainless I have done. Bought about the time Clinton tried to ban them, it should be of a close vintage.
Your overall pattern on this pistol is fabulous with extra accolades on your side plates.
Thank you for posting these pics and advising on the cutability.
Jeff
Here's one I just cut. They cut like a dream. The cylinders are a bit harder than the rest but even that was no sweat. Among the more pleasurable jobs I've done. Nice to cut but I have no interest in shooting this little .357! In addition, Gerry Beathard has a great video on youtube covering disassembly/assembly.
If you need a good outline of the gun just pm me. I drew a new one for my last project.
