I will miss him greatly. Although I never meet him he has taught me a lot thru his posts, messages, and great pictures of his work. Godspeed my friend.....John

Sad news indeed. I first met J.R. when he lived in Ohio and we both worked the Ohio Gun Collectors show in about 1977. He later moved to Texas. Fortunately, I was able to write a brief biography of J.R. and feature a few pictures of his work in American Engravers III.

Here is a link to J.R.'s Website where you can see some of his fine work: http://www.jrfrenchgunengraver.com/

Rest in peace J.R.

His work featured in a couple of FEGA Engraver magazines as well. His engraving work is excellent and he was a pleasure to work with.

I'm very sorry to hear of his passing.

Cheers
Andrew
