PIerre;

Beautiful design and work. To my mind the gold inlay work really reinforces the entire Nordic theme, while the carving masterfully brings the whole theme to life. Your client must be overwhelmed in this rifle's beauty. Sometimes gold inlays are too much in too little space, however, yours is perfect. A masterpiece.

I can't make out the rifle manufacturer, is it a Heym? What is the rifle calibre?

Beautiful work. One of my very favorite in this style. The gold work is very well done and the Celtic work looks more like real Celtic than the over mechanical perfectly drawn works that are more prevalent in most of the Celtic style. When this original style was being done there were no rulers or other drawing equipment Very well done. It is also my style of Celtic works. Fred

hello Steve, this is a 7x57R double rifle, the rifle have been made at Liège school by my friend. he also make the wood stocking.

hello Fred, I only use the technique of hammer and chisel for carving ornamentation base and remove the background.
initially, I drew on paper the design of the trigger guard but after I drew directly on parts step by step without worrying about a général layout .it's why the engraving is more instinctive and approaching the basic idea of this style.
the finishing are made whit a hand push chisel with 10x magnification lens i don't use a binocular.

thanks for your comments
