It's a long way from done. I rubbed some dry erase in the cuts and that accounts for the fuzzy edges and dirty look.

hmmm, what's smaller than a .410? because you'd need something itty bitty for hummingbirds & butterflies.

Lee real eye candy will be looking forward to seeing the finished product. You can let Mitch know that 9mm shotshells are still available with #12 shot especially suited for hummers and butterflies.

Monk,

That style is known as "ornato" by the Italian engravers. They pretty much conceived the style so I know of no other name for it.

I'm not cross eyed yet but the double vision may actually be helping the design work. The gun is a Famars. A PM asked me about engraving an assembled receiver..........well the claims to have looked long and hard and couldn't find anyone willing to break it down. I found nothing on the internet so I am doing it assembled. Bottom line- I don't encourage it.

Lee, It looks like you have completely give up the idea of furrows being straight when you quite farming. It is going to be beautiful free formm engraving. You are truly mastering this style. Great work. Fred

Azkue, it's not laser engraving just a crazy man having some fun. Probably too much chocolate milk pushing me to the edge. Maybe I need to go back to 2%.
