Having had several Basal cell cancers removed plus eczema etc., I've spent a lot of time with a dermatologist. With his help, I've settled on a regimen that has helped me tremendously. Maybe it will help you.
Morning after shower or just washing hands, rubbing in Shea butter while your paws are wet. Any open cuts are immediately coated with Aquaphor. I get cut every single day at work and the stuff really helps healing. End of day at home I wash my hands thoroughly with 20 mule team borax. this is the only stuff I've ever found that really will clean all the crud off my hands and leave me ready to do surgery. It also grinds down the callouses so I don't get cracking. When I'm done, I give 'em a good coating of Shea butter. A small tub of the stuff lasts me 6 months or so and only costs a couple bucks. If you have trouble finding it cheap PM me.
I've never tried it but I've heard great things about bag balm as well.
