in the second pic the slide safety is not locked nor is there any engraving above the lever. In the first pic on the hammer is cocked. from what i can see the hammer cocked or not doesn't cover up any engraving. and btw, I'm not ignorant would you carry this gun in a holster with the hammer cocked without the slide safety engaged? that would be ignorant imho.

Easy does it. This was a closed eBay auction picture of a pistol with Rick Fras grips on it.
Same style engraving as Bert's project's grips.
The subject gun was most likely being sold by someone that may not know much about guns.
Has anyone ever done a story on the prison Engravers?
Everything I found looks like most of the items went to law enforcement owners.
