Here's a Smith and Wesson I recently was commissioned to engrave. The clients were delighted as it was a memorial to their beloved golden retriever. My picture doesn't quite capture the realism of the golden.
They wanted the pistol engraved, but didn't want an over the top design covering every mm of the pistol. So I worked on it to do some tasteful coverage to key areas of the gun and not go overboard.
When you are used to doing are certain amount of work, it can be challenging to temper back what you do but achieve a nice balanced look overall.
