Belgium engraver Rene Delcour in full assault on Joseph Scholtissen. Thankfully Rene is sporting a huge smile and Joseph's tongue is hanging out dramatically in this old photo of them horsing around in a workshop in 1974.

There was a Browning inspector named Joseph Scholtissen so maybe this is him.

had a few clients, and a few gun & knifemakers, over the years where i wanted to do this. but i wouldn't have been smiling...

DJ Glaser sent it to me. Not sure who took it but it might have been Don.

it was in 1969 I was there ,Joseph was a student in the class of Philippe Grifnee (5 année) and we 're together with my class (4 année)
now Joseph is inspector at the banc epreuve in Liege

yes, it's always nice to see imagery like this. i would think it tends to show that engravers can actually be "real people", rather than what the public may perceive us to be.
