Seems like all I do is scales... finished this one yesterday. It's a 4" Colt King Cobra.

RDP, it just engraved, but it is pretty deep in the dark areas.

Ed, I don't remember. They are there to add a little bit oof interest, but not to distract from the scales. When I say I dont remember I mean it was designed about a year ago. This is about tge 50th one. The scrolls are hand drawn on the gun for speed.

Dreaming scales .....been there. Just finish carving 26 fish all with scales...three months solid...I was so sick of fish scales I could have pulled my hair out. LOL. Beautiful work!

i have been debating doing a bond arms in all scales. have studied a ton of photos of your scaled guns and otto carters. awesome work and definitely something any gun collector would absolutely love to have in his collection! the contrast between the scale and the scroll is awesome and creates beauty within the beast!

a book by bill janey inspired me to do a gunstock. in "fish scale". took about 3 months of work here & there. i'm still cross-eyed from doing that !
