It has less of a tendency to stick on polished carbide gravers than HSS gravers, but it still sticks. Not sure I notice any difference in the burnisher aside from it being extremely hard and maintaining a highly polished finish. They're definitely a PITA to make. Thankfully you only need to make one and it'll last a lifetime.
