Critique Request Dragonfly on a spyderco dragonfly

Hi everyone.

I've only tried cutting a couple of animals before and both were very poorly done. Very keen to get any and all imput you can give me.

The blank space on the back is for the pocket clip.

The customer gave me a couple of pictures of dragonflies to choose from and I felt this was the most easily engraved one. I struggled even with the printed blown up version to see the level of detail i wanted to put in when i was engraving.

I still have it so if you see anything that needs fixing not too late.

This Bolino thing... how are you supposed to do it? Do you use a really pointy stipple tool? Mostly not under power, just hand pushed unless you really want to blacken out an area?

Danae, I would recommend you get Chris Decamillis video if you want to know how bulino is done, from sharpening the graver to some different cutting technics, it will be money well spent,

Aussie dollar to USD conversion and $95 freight makes it a little pricey, worth it I'm sure... but...

Would everyone recommend I go with the two dvd set with castings or do you get most of what you need to know just out of the beginner's dvd? Can anyone give input to this or to the thread in general?
