Critique Request My first half decent practice plate

I've been hand engraving since last July and now I'm at a stage where I'm confident with a graver and have a pretty good feel for them.
That said I'm not really happy with my work and want to do better.

Any critiques and or advise would be greatly appreciated

It may be the blurriness of the photo but this looks very energetic. I think you'll be able to figure out what you like, and don't like and you'll be on track soon. I like the character of the leaves in this, they have a lot going on with them.

Work at cutting nice round scrolls .
start with simple leaf structures.
lots of study and drawing

Just Copper sheet, darkened with ink and then I put varnish over that to protect it from oxidization
