I have done a bunch of copper bracelets. It is usually best to sweat solder a thin layer of silver to the back to prevent the wrist from turning. green,Fred

To prevent discoloration on copper a jeweler friend of mine suggested that I go to an auto parts store and get some automotive clear coat to put on copper. He swears it is tough stuff. When he does work for the sheriff’s office he coats all of their badges with the clear coat. He says that it usually takes about two years to wear off.
