I have one that has been sawed in half sitting right here on a shelf. The person that threw it out is a definite cretin. I'm glad you rescued it from the trash pile.

Yes mdengraver, I plan on using it to help with my logarithmic scroll drawing, I mean one can't really improve on a perfect nautilus shell!

My wife has one of the cut in half shells, and I love looking at it from time to time, as it is just so simple and at the same time complex.
