Blast from the past - Don Glaser doing an engraving demo for my class, and Don and Diane Scalese in Don's basement workshop. I believe he and Mary invited us over for dinner that evening.

His videos were my first foray into engraving. I still refer back to them periodically.

I would have liked to meet him

Great photos and bring back great memories. Don was a super guy and reminded me so much of my father as well. I always enjoyed his Wednesday demos in the classrooms.

Check out those fluorescent lights on either side of his scope. Bob Finlay made those from standard bulbs.

I remember when I first got the interest of engraving, I rented a copy of his video back in the late 90`s from the supplier of GRS-tools in Norway.

The copy was in VHS format and had been played for several hundreds of times before me, so the quality was unfortunately bad.

BTW, That was also the first time I saw a pneumatic handpiece

Thanks for sharing
