Help, please: Magnetic Graver problems

I saw a thread a month or two ago about demagnifying gravers. It wasn't a problem then but now I think I could pickup a Volkswagen with my 120 degree graver. Any tips? Or at least a link to the previous thread, which I cannot seem to find. Thank you!

I actually like it when my gravers are magnetized. I just wipe the chips off the graver by sliding it along my leg quickly. You do have to remember not to do this when you are wearing shorts!

i got tired of this crap. i re-made all my gravers out of copper, brass. and aluminum red rounds, yellow- flats, silver tone- squares. thus far, they've never been a problem
