I just booked my table and room for the January Exhibition. I've been told that rooms at the Riviera are almost filled. I would encourage all who are able to attend. Some of you should get a table to let us and the other attendees enjoy your artistry. Yes I am calling you out and hope it will be a wonderful memory and experience as it has been for so many of us. Jump in and get your feet wet. Tables were up last year and the first timers seemed to be enthusiastic about their experience. Many got work and all learned and enjoyed. Let's set a new record for tables.

When I first stumbled on engraving I was not aware of classes and too broke to take one if I had known-I blame it on farming. My only mentor was the once-a-year exhibition that gave me the opportunity to drool over work and pick the brains of some of the most delightful people on earth. They have become family and I can't wait to see all of you.

You have one more week to book a table before the Oct. 31 deadline. After that their is a mild late fee but you can still reserve a table. The application form is on the FEGA website or contact the head office. Betty is tremendous and be nice to her. She is very dear to many of us and Bob has really big biceps.

Words can poorly describe the value I place on this Exhibition and my fond feelings for members who have helped me so selflessly over the years. I expect to come away again renewed, enlightened, and taught.

I look forward to seeing old-long time-friends and new ones.

As to tables, as of today 10/23/2014, we have sold thirty four, which is good for this time of year.
We can have up to 75 tables if we request them.
The difficulty is by mid November we have to have an exact count, and FEGA has to pay for the count.
We expect to be some last minute buyers, so we always ask for a few more than we have sold, I forget the exact figures but last year it was 55 or 58 that were sold by the time of the show, including last minute, plus, FEGA uses about six for our displays, auction items etc.
So, if we are to have enough tables for everybody, without FEGA wasting money buying extra tables, it takes out much of the guesswork if you register early.
Of course, if you want to register late, don't be shy, we will do whatever we can to fit you in, but can make no promises for late registrants.
Why go?
I think it was Albert Einstein who said “ 90% of success is just showing up “ and you don’t have to be an Einstein to know its true.
The Gun Engravers show is the largest gathering of hand engravers in the world.
Many of your friends, and future friends, will be there.
Also, that brings up member support at the show, we need every one of you who can make it to attend, preferably with a table and a banquet ticket (don’t forget your friends and clients), or at the very least please make it as an attendee, because FEGA only represents one group, and that group is OUR MEMBERSHIP, and to make your presence felt, you need to be there.
