Scarf Slide

Made this sterling silver scarf slide for a recent exhibit in Myrtle Beach. I didn't go deep enough with the background removal, but I think it turned out ok anyway. The metal was thin and was afraid of going through.The center is left unengraved which I thought would make a nice contrast,or engrave a monogram later on.

I absolutely love it. I really look up to work like that. Can I just ask a question, I hope it doesn't sound critical... but how do you decide which direction the wheat sheath border on the edge should be going, in the same direction as the scrolls or in your case opposite?
