Being that many of us occasionally use gold, I figured you might like to see a recent gold vein strike. A friend of mine is the geologist in the Red Lake Goldcorp Coshner Mine up in Canada. It's been like this or better the last 10 days! Wow! :)

No wonder people get crazy and run around shouting EUREKA! :thumbsup:

Have you tried native gold for inlays?? I have often thought it would be interesting. As a kid in the Black Hills, I panned for gold near the old Queen Bee mines.

The inlay done in those rocks is very good indeed!!! That had to be very time consuming and intricate work!!! What graver geometry was used? :)

Did your friend divulge what the yield from the ore was? IE, how many troy ounces per ton of ore. I always find it amazing how much rock is moved to yield such tiny quantities of precious substances.

Lived and worked the Camp Bird mine outside Ouray Colorado. My dad was the Engineer there. That is real good color. Very nice display pieces. Fred
