A lot of the old books that the copyrights have long since expired on - are available online to peruse for free. You just have to dig a bit...
You can also look over on lindsayengraving.com forum - up in the "sticky" notes at the top of the forum page - I believe there is a list of these "free" engraving related books.
I've not looked into the content of the list, but there may be something else that will help if the Berglings aren't listed there.
