Dutch,
The Long answer: I'm an engraver, but not (yet)a printer. I'm having these printed for me right now; in the future that may change as I learn more about the process so, no press pic. It's an etching press but I can't remember the brand however, it's a rather large one!
I am impressed Weldon...that is a beautiful effort. I laid out a pattern for a dragoon many years ago to do wood engraving prints but never got up the courage and gumption to tackle the job. Maybe you have inspired me to try!
The first batch of "The Single Action" will be ready to ship in the next few days.
If you've said you want one & have not yet paid please make arrangements ASAP.
Thanks,
Weldon
Here's a pic of an actual print (not a test print)
Today Christmas came early! I received my Weldon Lister print of the Colt SAA. I must say that it is all I had hoped for and more.
Even the average person who knows nothing about collectible guns or hand engraving can see the exquisite nature of Weldon's print but we engravers sometimes notice things that escape the average eye. I was pointing out to my wife the long, perfectly straight parallel borders and explaining how much skill is required to do that.
Well, I have to visit a framing shop and find just the right frame then the best place to hang my new treasure.
Thanks, Roger! Really glad you like it!!
Other folks should also be receiving theirs soon too. The first batch is gone & the second will be shipped out shortly after December 1st. The edition of 50 was split into several runs (by the printer) so they could fit me into their schedule. Hope that makes sense!
