start of a buckle project

The buckle is for a rancher.
his son passed away.
the letters are a brand that the son used.
he also wanted to use wings or angels.
so i thought about something like what marty is doing with is gun project.
adding a chubby angel to the scroll work.
will just have to put on my thinking cap for this one.

Yeah, the cross is a little different than I would expect to see...

The last one I made in that particular shape was for a Greek Orthodox bishop.

He was very specific about the shape of the cross. Gave me all the historical significance.

It was his pectoral cross, almost 3" tall and better than a quarter inch thick.

Took 3 tries to get a perfect casting. Then had to make a very heavy handmade chain for him to wear it on. (I'm not fond of making chain)
