Guy at work has a ultra 850 that he would sell me for cheap but I don't have a compressor since I use a gravermeister. I do have a couple 20lb CO2 bottles that I could hook to it to power it. Anyone tried this an how efficient is it? Just wanting to do background relief here an there

I think the 850 consumes way too much air to be practical with CO2 bottles.

Pick it up anyway, you never know when a compressor will come along at a reasonable price.
Cheers

The 850 requires 30-35 psi @ 1.34 CFM so many small inexpensive air compressors will do. Here's one on Woot! today that is 1.5 CFM @ 40 PSI for only $51.99 and $5.00 shipping: http://tools.woot.com/offers/3-gallon-oil-less-air-compressor-1?ref=cnt_wp_2_1

There are several others to choose from today on Woot!: http://tools.woot.com/plus/power-equipment?ref=gh_tg_5_wp_2

One of them is a quiet oil-less compressor you may like even better. :)

I bought an 850 years ago and could use it for about 30-60 seconds with my compressor... They do consume allot of air. I was fortunate enough to buy a larger compressor that does fine with it... but be advised that they do consume quite a bit.
