first time inlaying, gold , brass , copper , bone. latest work

A real learning experience. Still have to work on my lettering , but I think I'm likening this inlaying ..lol

Cloudy, I cut a deep cavity, then lightly hammered the bone in. I put just a dab of glue to keep it from popping out, then after I cut down around it I set the edges like you would set a stone in cup bezel all the way around the bone.

the work is as nice as you are brave ! i'd have bet the bone inlay would have failed somewhere along the procedure. nice series of fotos. thanks for taking the time to show.

Monk, the bone is surprisingly pretty shock resistant. And its set so deep that once its locked on its not going anywhere. Thany you , I take your comment ss a compliment.
