New jig

It looks like a hold down for inlay. My question is ,How do you hold down the hold down. Can you post a picture of this fixture attached to your vice, this will also give us an idea of it's size. I looks like a nice little piece of machine work. Thanks

You will probably find, as I did - that there are very limited uses for this jig... I've probably pulled it out of the drawer 6 or 8 times over the ten years I've owned the one Ray LeTourneau made for me. Total usage of maybe 4 or 5 hours over 10 years...?

There are all kinds of other ways to get around the problems involved in sheet inlay that are more economical and sometimes simply do a better job than this jig can do.

Most involve becoming a better metalsmith.


I does, however, have that "cool" value/look that tool junkies love.
