A little project for a custom gun builder here in Nebraska. Joe at Chamber's Custom wanted some flags in place of the cocking serrations on this .45 slide. All Joe asked was that the one side had the 50 star flag and the other the 13 star; stars to the forward muzzle direction. "Make it look cool!" There are times when I shouldn't be allowed to make command decisions. My idea of "cool" turned into hours and hours cutting around very tiny stars (0.025"; 0.635mm). I relieved the background around ALL the stars and the Red stripes. Then stippled all the relieved areas. I hand polished everything back to 4000, 3 micron. Joe does all of his own finishing and bluing. My smallest project to date. I will post finished pics when I get them from Joe! Thanks for looking!
