My buddy has a Ruger single 6. Nice shooter and fun to plink with. He is also an engraving fan, not exactly a fan of mine, just engraving in general. He is also a welding genius and builds cool little projects and gives them to me. I felt I owed him something and borrowed his 22 mag cylinder for his Ruger to pretty up a little. "Not too pretty" he says, "I still want to take it out and shoot it." So some simple scroll, a little copper wire inlay and a lot of polishing produced the following. We will be doing the other cylinder in the future so this one isn't lonely.

cool look you got there. the copper may show even better if your pal lets it darken a bit.

Thanks everyone! My buddy is waiting till the copper gets just a touch of patina to it, then is going to seal it with a touch of renaissance wax. He wants to do the other cylinder and is making noises to have the lettering on this cylinder done too.

Thanks Mike!! I figure if I can Master copper, the softer, precious metals will be easier. I do love the way copper looks in stainless. I just makes me smile.
