Question: What vise for firearm engraving?

What do you guys and gals recommend for a vise that will be used for larger pieces like firearms receivers and such, but if i could purchase a vise that would still give me the functionality to do smaller pieces like nickels and jewelry on a small, limited basis, that would be nice too.

For firearms the heavier the better. Most of the coin holders will fit the big vices just fine. When you are working on things like barrels you really need the weight. Fred

GRS Magnablock. I sold my standard block after a barrel kept moving the vise during engraving.

I have a Ray LeTourneau engraving vise 45lb.for gun work a GRS magnablock and two Victor's one 16 and one 12lb. J.J.

Well none with my new tools. I recently purchased a Lindsay air graver and have never used anything pneumatic before. I've mainly just been cutting scrolls and letterings on practice plates for about 6 months committing a few hours a day
