My first woodcock and quail. I just can't help myself when it comes to cramming in the detail.... I don't know why I do it, at this size most of it cannot be seen with the naked eye! Hope you enjoy.

Real nice work you show here, Yes always a problem where to stop when adding details that can't be seen with the naked eye. Only insiders do look using a X10 loupe

Beautiful job, as Mrthe asked, what make of knife is this? Is it a one off custom made or something that can be purchased at retail. I really like the design of this knife, made only more beautiful by your artistry. Thanks

Thanks everyone:) Mrthe & Don, Yes the knife is a one off, it's just a Grand Leavitt damascus blade (he sells on eBay) that I made some 416 ss scales for.

Am a bit embarrassed over my typo here:eek:, yes J.J. and Phil you guys are of course correct (thank you!), a short tailed grouse.... Considering I used to hunt them (grouse) I should know the difference between a grouse and a quail!
