Bid Bonds/Performance bonds are common in the construction industry.
Esentially they are an insurance policy that you purchase that guarantees you will perform....Contact your insurance agent and he probably can direct you to a company that specializes in bonds...

Many years ago I was a painting contractor. I was ask to paint the frames on some very large (30 feet) stained glass windows and re-caulk all loose pains of glass. The church required a bond to insure that no damage was done to the windows. things like tipping over scaffolding, braking glass as we setup and took down tools. I got the required bond from a bail bond company in my community. no big deal just went in described the job. he checked for BBB complaints. got an estimate on window replacement gave me a price and wrote the bond.
