Just finished another silver bracelet and this time the bending with my GRS bender went much better. I used less pressure, used black electrical tape instead of painters tape (this tip from Shane at GRS), lightly sanded round the top edge of the cavity and I also applied a touch of WD40 to the ball and cavity. Cannot see any bend marks even under the microscope! Hope this helps someone else. IMG_2134.jpg

very nice looking. i never lube the metal former when doing the bracelet thingy. when i form snuff lids in my die set, i ended up using common drug-store mineral oil. works very well, and it's so toxic, one can use it for cleaning out ones' innards ! as for the former, i don't do many bracelets, but do like the grs former. having said that, if i were doing production work, a hydro press would have to be the answer.
