I did a sig ttt with that black paint stuff on it. I had to stone off the black. It can be done, but it's a pita! The stainless underneath is very hard. If you plan to do relief engraving, plan on using acid. I didn't and it took forever.

For some reason the top of the slide cut very nice, the side were extremely hard.
