Very neat setting job Chris, do you cut the channel with a graver or do you use burrs as well?

Bands like this are easily and accurately cut on a lathe...

Preferably they come as Brian says with the correct stone size, more often than not I end up opening them up with a ball burr.
If things match up they are real quick to knock out.

Ever use one of those roller ring sizers to tighten down channel set stones? When you have calibrated stuff, it works like a champ. Use a slightly oversized die and roll them tight!

What's the going rate for channel setting to the trade in Finland? Here in the US it averages about $4/stone for .1ct and under.

Prices seem to be similar for production stuff, I normally charge double that for "special attention" jobs.
