Has any one had any experience with Blaser R8. I am wanting to know what kind of finish Blaser uses on the alloy action. I need to know if the finish can be removed, engraved and then finished with something similar.

capece rocco thanks for the reply. I was needing to know about the blued actions. This particular rifle is a one piece stock, so not much of the action is seen. I assume that the trigger guard and bottom metal are also of an aluminum alloy.

Good luck
Blasers are notoriously hard
The shotguns are too hard to cut at all. I've tried and I cannot EVEN SCRATCH THE FINISH. toughest
gun I have ever tried to cut
The rifles I'm not sure but I would guess hard as well.
As difficult as it may be sometimes it is better to return a gun and disappoint a client as to
do it poorly due to hardness.
