I have a large supply of 2" wide nickel stock if that will do you any good?
I think it is 18 gauge, have to go look... we can cut it to any length - and even polish it, if you desire.

Pantographic engraving businesses usually can supply a very free cutting brass sheet about 16 gage, and about 12 inches by 4.

Monk, go to the archives and find my useful links you will find suppliers of the brass plates that go on dog collars and horse halters. They have lots of style punched and unpunched. Speedy metals is another. Several in list. Fred

Try online metals at http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?id=86&step=2 they sell a sample pack at a very reasonable price and it should give you all the brass you need for a while.

Most of the brass sheet that I use I get from my local hardware stores, a lot of them have a selection of brass sheet, and tubes for hobbyists.

I go to the local hardware store and look for the brass door kick plates. Key is finding one that isn't clad aluminum, but solid brass.
