Hi there,
I'm new to the forum and relatively new to hand engraving - just looking for some advice.
I'm trying to set up my jewellery bench at home for some engraving and setting. I'm looking at possible solutions for holding my block. Right now it's too high, sitting inside my bench drawer. Unfortunately I can't bolt anything to the floor, nor can bolt a shelf to the underside of my bench. I would like the support stand to be removable/mobile...so when working at the bench pin, I'm not leaning over and straddling my engravers ball.
Just curious to see if anyone has tried using one of these industrial manual turntables? If so, how smooth is the rotation? And, is 18" too wide a circumference to be usable?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have. Kindly,
Alastair
