Good day to All,
I just want to share this You all I Have been making some small tools for engraving etc. and came up with this to do some general sharpening of bits and gravers.
I had some old nonworking CD's so I took some spray adhesive and stuck emery paper of different grits to the CD's and trim them down and cut out the centre. I made a washer with a recess just thinner than the thickness of a CD that fits the centre and are using it to centre the CD when attached to the power hone. There is just one thing to keep in mind that the one side close to the centre of the CD is a small ridge so this side must be top side otherwise the CD will not lay flat on the Power Hone.
I put the CD on top of the diamond lap when I am using it and it works great for me.
Attached a pic of the disc and cantering washer
Cheers
