Picture It? Well there's your problem right there!

Suffice it to say that I've tried it a time or two and I feel that any company including it with their camera is saying "Well, yes, you did just give us a wad of money but we hate you anyway and want you to suffer."

Use anything else to resize your pictures.

They're generally not a waste of money but they're nowhere near a real macro lens. Even the 'diopters' (special filters) you can put over the lens of an SLR aren't as good as a real macro lens. Actually, the cheap ones are terrible and the good ones are ok. These attachments are the same way.

But I belive the Nikon CoolPix has a macro mode where it will 'overfocus' the lens to do close shots. Probably worth working out how to do it. Since you bought the camera at a camera store you can probably get them to help you figure it out.
