Just finished carving this nickel. It's #5 of 2012 titled "Play Me a Train Song"

Boy, is this going to make the collectors go crazy! I love the story it tells and the marvelous details you've included. My favorite so far. You keep raising the bar for all of us. Every time I see one of your new carvings, I want to get back to carving a nickle myself but right now I'm a bit too busy with other projects.

Andrew if do you referre to the " e pluribus unum".... This is part of the buffalo nickel and in latin the tranlation is " one from many"

Absolutely outstanding in every regard. The texture of the tree is brilliant, as is everything else. What a masterpiece!

Yeah, it's really hard to improve on Fraser's original design. Still my favorite U.S. coin. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with mutilating them...

Ron,

Masterful, and full of good heart, a treasure!

Had to sit right down to sing 'Life is Like a Mountain Railroad', and simply enjoy the moment.

You really touched me...

Rod
