I wish to add my condolences to his family. Jim really seemed to love what he was was doing. I was unaware that he had been ill but I'm pleased that he kept on creating right up to the end.
i came to know jim, not only on the forum, but via email, and a couple of phone chats. to his family : my prayers to help you thru your grief. he's a pretty neat guy in my book.
That's sad news. I recall Jim telling the story here on the forum of how he got to engrave the trophy for the Indy 500 back in the day. He was just as passionate and enthusiastic about it then as he was right up to very end and that's what I'll always remember about him.
