    VERY sad to hear. It was easy to feel the passion Jim had for engraving, and sharing his experiences with those on the Cafe.

    i came to know jim, not only on the forum, but via email, and a couple of phone chats. to his family : my prayers to help you thru your grief. he's a pretty neat guy in my book.

    That's sad news. I recall Jim telling the story here on the forum of how he got to engrave the trophy for the Indy 500 back in the day. He was just as passionate and enthusiastic about it then as he was right up to very end and that's what I'll always remember about him.
