As some of you know, I'm brand new at this. However, I feel pretty good about this engraving. It's better than the first four. Thoughts? Shading is really hard for me. But I think I can get it in time. -Jesse:hammer: 056.jpg

I like it to Jesse, for just practice plate #5 I think you are doing very well. I think your scrool cuts look very clean and your shading is pretty good. I see a couple of places where you got into a little trouble but over all it is looking good. I still struggle with my shading. It is much harder to do than it looks. Part of my problem is that I have to learn how to go lighter on my shade lines, all my cuts tend to be the same depth and width not enough variance. You do not seem to be having that problem. Good work and thanks for sharing your progress.
