A couple of silver scroll pendants

Thought i would post these before they went to the bead lady. Sorry about the pic quality i am going to work on a light box this weekend.These are superfun to do and super shiny! hard to get good photos. They look alot better in person but you get the idea. I used a carbide burr to do the background Quick with nice contrast. D.Douglas

Those are pretty cool. My wife keeps complaining that I don't do anything for her with my engraving and that looks like a fun project where I could score a few points and justify spending money on this endeavor (learning to engrave, that is). Do you cut out the design before engraving or after?

Thanks Dick by the way those addresses are in the mail. Jon i engrave the outline then cut it out and proceed to polish highly and then background ,finally shade. I think your wife deserves 18k gold or platinum.

you could try to blacken the backgrounds with silver black or liver of sulphur - might make em more contrasty
...nice designs.
