I enjoyed the interview about Rex,the last question is one I feel the same way about making so many good friend after 39 years.Rex keep up the good work. J.J.
Thank you all for the comments! I felt honored but humbled to be included with the others that have been interviewed. The last 30+ years have been a great ride and look forward to the future to be able to make more friends in the engraving world.
I took my first course from Rex, where learned to sharpen tools and cut steel. It was a thrill, and I consider Rex a friend for life. He is a great gentleman and dinner companion. He is also a fine engraver who has been the backbone of Fega for a very long time.
Thanks for bringing the interviews back, and thank you Rex for bringing my engraving skills (for whatever they are!) over the hump I was in when attending your class at GRS. I have since learned that Rex has been engraving the gold replica NASCAR trophy presented to the NASCAR champion each year by Goodyear the last several years...how many Rex? I think for two or three years he had at least three going at the same time because of the closeness of the championship race at the time. I think most people don't know that little tidbit about him and his modesty keeps him from mentioning it. Any way, thank you Rex for what you taught me and I consider you a true friend.
