I engrave parts for muzzle loaders and find the Grs positioning vice is great and heavy enough for everything I do , I have made jigs for holding barrels and cylinders and also is great for under a microscope

Any body have some ideas for holding revolver cylinders in a Grs positioning vice please ?pictures of what you have made would be much appreciated.

A few more practice plates trying to get the chip to pop out with the English scroll plate,if anyone has a picture of the amount of taper needed on the tool would be greatly appreciated,the scrolls are a bit wonky and one leaf growing the wrong way, just another million hours practice and I may...
Thanks for the info , the frame and barrels are in one piece and relatively soft compared to the plates , I annealed all the pistol in the furnace packed in a charcoal packed box to minimise scale , I guess the lock plates must be ruff castings hence the black flaw lines in it , back in the 1830...
