Hello all,
OK I've been doodling again and instead of piercing I thought low relief would be a new thing to try. Not sure if it's faster or not..........first time trying it in this form. I've done some relieved sculpted type thing some years ago, so not totally foreign.
So, here is a bracelet in the flat for your comments/critiques. I've been working on shading and trying to be a bit more critical of my execution. :beat up:
Enjoy:beerchug:

Mark I like your design. It looks like a good design for relief.
I'm curious as to how you plan to proceed. Are you thinking of a thicker piece (gage) and then remove some of the back round and then raise the elements?

Wow, Mark that's beautiful.
Great job on the relief and shading.
And a wonderful scroll design.
Please show it again after you bend it.
Is it going to be both bent and convex or a flat bend?
Best regards.

Finished forming

Thanks everyone for the kindness.............notice no real close up shots.:) I've finished forming but didn't clean it off very well, sorry for the poor lighting.
John B, thanks for the information a few weeks ago on the pierced bracelet, I hope it shows in this one. Same but different. :yes As you can see it is convex, and about .032" thick sterling silver.
I think the engraving flows better once formed. Any thought?
Thanks again my friends,
Mark

Mark,
I think this is a winner all the way and even better now it's formed.
Someone very lucky is going to wear this with pride for generations to come.
Best regards.

Mark, what a great style for a bracelet. It looks fabulous.

One very small comment if I may? Personally I'd be careful of just running over your border line. My advice is either stay within bounds or definitely cross it. If you're not careful just creeping into or across the line can make it look as if you can't cut a straight line. As you say though, the bracelet comes into it's own when it's bent to shape and this doesn't notice so much. It's just something to be aware of.

Apart from this very minor point, this is a really super item. What sort of money do you charge for something like this, if you don't mind me asking?
